DAU/WAU

Daily Active Users/Weekly Active Users

This ratio measures how many of your weekly users are active on a daily basis.

This metric is returned as a fraction; for example, 0.113 means 11.3% of 7-day active users were also 1-day active users.

Why is it important?

A higher DAU/WAU ratio indicates that users are frequently engaging with your product or service throughout the week.


DAU/MAU

Daily Active Users/Monthly Active Users

This ratio shows the percentage of your monthly users who are active on a daily basis. It provides insights into the stickiness of your product—how often users return daily over the course of a month.

This metric is returned as a fraction; for example, 0.113 means 11.3% of 30-day active users were also 1-day active users.

A higher DAU/MAU ratio signifies strong daily engagement among monthly users.


WAU / MAU

Weekly Active Users/Monthly Active Users

This ratio measures the proportion of your monthly users who are active on a weekly basis. It helps to understand how regularly users interact with your product over a month.

This metric is returned as a fraction; for example, 0.113 means 11.3% of 30-day active users were also 7-day active users.

Why is it important?

A higher WAU/MAU ratio indicates more consistent weekly engagement.


Engaged Sessions

The number of sessions that lasted longer than 10 seconds, or had a conversion event, or had 2 or more screen views.

Why is it important?

Engaged sessions are an indicator of how well your product holds user's attention and meets their needs.


Sessions per User

Sessions per User counts the average number of sessions initiated by each user to your app. It's a critical metric because it tells you how engaged your customers are with your app. The average number of sessions per user is Sessions divided by Active Users.

Why is it important?

A higher number of sessions per user generally indicates that users find your product valuable and are returning frequently.
